Who this privacy notice is for
This privacy notice explains how Rolldorado, an independent information portal at rolldorado.org.es, collects, uses and protects your personal data. We are not the casino operator – we run a review site that publishes information about Rolldorado, which is operated separately by Terdersoft B.V. Any data you provide directly to the operator when you register or play falls under their own privacy policy, not ours.
Our notice covers only what happens on this portal – what we gather when you browse these pages, submit a contact form, or interact with our content. If you are looking for the operator's own privacy terms, you will find those on their platform once you register.
The data controller for this site
The entity responsible for your personal information on rolldorado.org.es is the editorial team operating this portal. You can reach us at [email protected] with any questions about how your data is handled here. We are based in the UK, and this notice follows the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
What information we collect
We gather two kinds of data: information you actively provide, and technical details your browser sends automatically.
Information you give us
When you fill in our contact form, we collect your name, email address and the contents of your message. We ask for this so we can reply to your question. If you choose not to provide an email address, we cannot send a response – the field exists for that reason alone.
Technical and usage data
Like most websites, we automatically receive certain information from your browser or device:
- Your IP address, which tells us roughly where you are connecting from
- The type of browser and operating system you use
- Which pages you visit on this site, and in what order
- How long you spend on each page, and where you click
This data is gathered through cookies and similar tracking technologies – see our Cookie Policy for the full breakdown of what is stored and why. We use analytics tools to understand which sections readers find useful, so we can improve the site over time.
Why we process your data, and the lawful basis
| Purpose | Lawful basis under UK GDPR |
|---|---|
| Responding to contact-form enquiries | Legitimate interest (providing the service you requested) |
| Analysing site traffic and user behaviour | Legitimate interest (improving our content and layout) |
| Serving targeted advertising through third-party networks | Consent (via the cookie banner) |
| Complying with legal obligations, if required | Legal obligation |
Where we rely on legitimate interest, we have balanced our need to run an informative portal against your right to privacy. You can object to any processing based on legitimate interest – contact us at the address below to do so.
Who else sees your information
We share data with a small number of third parties, but we never sell it to anyone. Here is who may receive your information and why:
- Analytics providers – services like Google Analytics receive anonymised traffic data so we can measure which articles get read and how long visitors stay. These tools set their own cookies; you can block them through your browser settings or by declining non-essential cookies in our banner.
- Advertising networks – if you consent to marketing cookies, ad platforms may receive your IP address and browsing behaviour to show relevant adverts. This is optional; you can withdraw consent at any time by adjusting your cookie preferences.
- Hosting and infrastructure providers – our web host stores the site's files and processes server logs that include IP addresses. They act as a data processor under our instruction and have no independent right to use your information.
Some of these processors are based outside the UK. Where that is the case, we ensure adequate safeguards are in place – such as standard contractual clauses approved by the ICO – so your data remains protected to UK GDPR standards.
Your rights under UK data protection law
The UK GDPR gives you several rights over your personal information. Here is what you can do, and how to go about it:
Access
You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you. This is called a subject access request. We will provide it free of charge within one month, unless the request is complex or we receive several at once – in which case we may need an extra two months and will let you know.
Rectification
If something we hold is wrong or incomplete, you can ask us to correct it. For instance, if you sent a contact form with a typo in your email address and never received a reply, let us know and we will update the record.
Erasure
You can ask us to delete your data in certain situations – for example, if you withdraw consent for marketing cookies, or if we no longer have a legitimate reason to keep the information. We cannot erase data we are legally required to retain, such as records needed for a pending dispute.
Restriction
You can ask us to stop processing your data temporarily while we verify its accuracy, or while you object to how we are using it. During this time we will store the information but not actively process it.
Portability
If you provided data under a contract or consent, and we process it by automated means, you can request it in a structured, commonly used format so you can move it elsewhere. This right does not apply to data we gathered purely for our own legitimate interest, such as server logs.
Objection
You can object to processing based on legitimate interest. If your objection is about direct marketing, we will stop immediately. For other purposes, we will stop unless we can demonstrate compelling grounds that override your interests.
Withdraw consent
Where we rely on your consent – for instance, for analytics or advertising cookies – you can withdraw it at any time through the cookie-settings link in our footer. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of any processing we carried out before you withdrew it.
How to exercise your rights
Send an email to [email protected] stating which right you wish to exercise and providing enough detail for us to locate your data. We may ask for proof of identity if the request involves sensitive information – a driving licence or passport will do. We aim to respond within one month.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's data protection supervisory authority. You can contact them at ico.org.uk or call their helpline on 0303 123 1113.
How long we keep your data
Contact-form submissions are retained for up to two years after the last message in the thread, then deleted. If a query leads to a formal complaint or legal matter, we keep the record until that matter is resolved, plus any statutory retention period that applies.
Technical data gathered through cookies is typically held for 26 months by analytics platforms – this is the default retention period for Google Analytics – after which it is automatically purged. Server logs containing IP addresses are kept for 90 days, then overwritten.
If you delete your cookies or withdraw consent, new data collection stops immediately, but historical data already transmitted to third-party processors remains subject to their own retention schedules.
Protection of children and young people
This site is intended for adults aged 18 and over (18+). We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has submitted information to us, contact [email protected] and we will delete it promptly. Gambling content is restricted by law to adults, and we take that responsibility seriously – if you share a device with a minor, consider using parental-control software such as Net Nanny or Qustodio to block access to sites like ours.
Changes to this privacy notice
We may update this notice from time to time – for instance, if we add a new analytics tool or change hosting providers. When we make a material change, we will post a note at the top of this page stating what has been updated and when. The "last updated" date below always reflects the most recent version. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
